 8th grade Science
Room: 110

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!  It’s going to be a great year filled with new challenges and fun learning experiences.  This is an integrated science course that covers many different branches of science including biology, genetics, ecology, chemistry and physics.

The primary goal of science instruction is to give students experiences that promote their ability to think critically and become better problem solvers. Students will be engaged in inquiry based science experiments where they will have the opportunities to explore, investigate, ask questions, make predictions and test their ideas about science. This class is structured to prepare students with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful now and in their future academic careers.  Grading will be based projects, lab exercises, science notebooks, homework, quizzes and tests.

About Me

This is my 9th year teaching.  I spent 8 years teaching at GRJHS both 7th and 8th grade science.  For the last 2 years, I was able to be a stay at home mom, as well as continually subbing for the GRJHS science department.
