About Me

I was born in the mid-west in a little town called Blue Earth, Minnesota. We moved to Arizona when I was just 9, so I know how moving to a new school as a child can be challenging! As a kid growing up in Mesa, Arizona I had a few teachers and a wonderful school counselor that really helped me re-adjust. The impact they had on me inspired me to want to teach and help other kids at an important time of their life - junior high! After graduating from Mountain View High School, I went on to ASU, where I majored in Secondary Education Mathematics. I also enjoyed taking different types of science classes at ASU and other local colleges, and became certified to teach both math and science. I am on my 17th year of teaching, and look forward to many more. I have two wonderful children that also attend schools in our district.
